Bilbrough's Village Hall plays host to many functions throughout the year, playing a particularly important role in supporting the local community. Whether it be birthday parties for children and adults alike, wedding receptions, local fundraising events, Summer BBQ's or wine club events the warm atmosphere of the hall provides an ideal setting.
Below is a schedule of events that have been planned or booked for 2008. The list is updated on a regular basis. Please refer to the contact page to book a ticket for the event of your choice but please be aware that tickets always sell rapidly for all of the events in the village, so book early to avoid disappointment. If you wish to add your own event to the list then please use the contact page to get in touch with a friendly committee member who will be happy to show the facilities to you or discuss availability.
Ther are two hotels within walking distance of the village hall making it easy for guests from afar to attend any event you wish to host.
Pilates
Monday: Beginners and Improvers - 6:30 - 7:30pm
Experienced- 7:45 - 8-45pm
Pilates is a popular, low-impact form of exercise that can improve posture, body shape and flexibility. It strengthens and tones the whole body, helping to maintain a healthy spine and joints, and can alleviate pain and stress. With its origins in rehabilitation, and a history of use by professional dancers and performers, modern Pilates has been adapted and updated to make it an accessible, safe and effective way to keep strong, stretched and sane!
The classes last an hour, and cost £6 per class, payable in advance for a course (courses are usually 5-7 weeks long, and coincide with school half-terms).

French for Fidgets
Tuesdays: 1.30 - 2.15pm
French for Fidgets provide fun French classes for children aged 2-5 and their parent if they wish. We use puppets, songs, games and role-play, working to an exciting new topic each term. Our classes are 45 minutes in length and finish with a snack, story and take-home craft activity. Learning is supported by beautiful hand-sewn resources and the catchy tunes we use have been composed specially for French for Fidgets to help you learn French really easily.
